Worker found dead ashore in offshore facility Bursa, Turkey.

A tragic incident befell transport boat en-route to off shore facility still under construction in Imrali Island, Sea of Marmara Bursa. After weeks of a widespread recuse operation, a lifeless body was discovered ashore. Autopsy has revealed that the deceased Mehmet Yildirim (38) with file Number 04586 ID IT84847823, a member of the Türk-İş (Türkiye Işçi Sendikalari Konfederasyonu) The Turkish Trade Unions Confederation was last recruited under a British Company, Russ LTD, an Energy Corporation.


The incident which led to the boat capsizing left 2 other workers and the head technician with injuries while Mehmet was declared missing, Turkish reporter Rana Nilgun reports. It is not clear what caused the capsizing, which happened 4 miles away from Gimilik Port in Sea of Marmara Bursa. The cause of the capsizing has not been established as at the time of this report. The survivors have been treated for serious injuries at the Bursar hospital and have since then recovered and taken back to their duties. The Engineer (From New Jersey, name undisclosed) in charge of this project has been arrested for further investigations. He disclosed he doesn’t seem to have an idea of what caused the capsizing yet. Investigations are on going to ascertain the reason for the mishaps.
